To promote the preservation of national intangible cultural heritage and to showcase the spirit of Chinese harmony and hospitality to the public and tourists, Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) collaborates with the Agency for Volunteer Service to recruit incoming talent as volunteers, providing on-site support in crowd management during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Event Details:

• Date: 25 September 2026 (Friday)
• Time: 06:00PM - 11:00PM
• Target Participants: Incoming talent who are aged 18 or above
• Enrolment deadline: 30 August 2026 (Sunday)
• Requirements: Volunteers are required to understand Cantonese and should preferably be able to communicate in basic Cantonese.

Registration Information:

• The Agency for Volunteer Service will provide group accident insurance coverage for successfully registered participants. Please ensure accurate information is provided (including age group). For insurance arrangement considerations, no temporary additions or substitutions of volunteers will be accepted on the service day. Any changes must be submitted by 4 September.
• Participation in this event is limited. Successful applicants who are absent without a reason, this will affect their eligibility to join future HKTE activities.
• Selected participants will be notified individually with full details for the online briefing session on 15 September.
• The organiser and Hong Kong Talent Engage reserve all rights of final decision in the event of any disputes.
• Participants should note that the event may be recorded and archived, and photos, audio, and/or video may be published on the Hong Kong Talent Engage website and related platforms without further notice.
• Non-permanent residents of HKSAR shall check with the Immigration Department of HKSAR Government (www.immd.gov.hk) their eligibility to carry out volunteering activities and if applicable, obtain the necessary permit. According to the instructions of the Immigration Department of HKSAR Government those entering/remaining in Hong Kong under TTPS, QMAS, IANG, ASSG, etc, can perform voluntary work in Hong Kong. However, dependents  of persons admitted to Hong Kong for study may not engage in employment unless with the prior permission of the Director of Immigration. • Due to the insurance policy age limit of 65 set by the organiser, volunteer applications are capped at 65 years old.

Notes to Volunteers:

• Due to the long service hours, volunteers are recommended to have dinner prior to the event.
• The service requires prolonged standing and physical exertion; scheduled breaks are included; please follow the organiser's arrangements on the day of the event.
• Volunteers must wear the uniform specified by the organisation during the service.
• Activity timings are subject to adjustments by the host organisation.
• Volunteers must stay at their designated posts and refrain from taking photos during the service.
• As storage space at the venue is limited, please travel light and avoid bringing large items or valuables. Volunteers are responsible for their own personal belongings.
• By joining this event, the participant understand that they are responsible for their own safety and belongings. The organisers and co-organisers will not be held responsible for any loss of property, injuries, or related issues that may happen during the event.
• Due to the requirements of voluntary service, volunteers should be able to understand Cantonese and preferably communicate in simple Cantonese.
