Job description

The Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay is managed by the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and; is the first Crowne Plaza branded hotel in Hong Kong. The hotel offers upscale accommodation, authentic cuisine and state-of-the-art meeting facilities with enhanced services. Ideally located at Leighton Road, major business, leisure and shopping facilities in the Causeway Bay area are easily accessible and within walking distance. Job Description:

• Assist the Director of Engineering in managing the technical operations of the hotel.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of the hotel's equipment, machinery, and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and safety of equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's equipment and facilities to identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
• Manage the work of the engineering team, including technicians and other staff members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Prepare reports and documentation on maintenance and repair activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including those related to fire safety and governmental rules & regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, front office, and food and beverage, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Requirements:

• Relevant education in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in a technical or engineering role, hospitality industry is an advantage.
• Good general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as HVAC systems.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
