Job description

We are looking for a seasoned Executive Chef for a high-end fusion Japanese restaurant located at a 5-Star Luxury Hotel in Jakarta, promoting luxurious stays and world-class dining. This brand-new restaurant features 70 seats, Sake Bar and Sushi Bar in a very stylish ambiance, overlooking the skyline of Jakarta.

This is a great opportunity for career development as you will be closely working with a Japanese Celebrity Chef who is very famous in Japan and U.S. You will also work with a professional team in a dynamic global hospitality group with a passion for delivering exceptional, personalized and unpretentious service.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Japanese Celebrity Chef to manage and oversee the operations in the Kitchen handling the sushi bar, set menu, a la carte menu and Omakase dining.
2. Be responsible for supervising and coordinating every aspect of menu development, food preparation, food production and ensuring a high level of quality and service at all times.
3. Ensure a high level of food safety and food hygiene of the entire restaurant.
4. Take on all managerial and administrative work of the restaurant.

Requirements

1. All nationalities are welcome.
2. Strong experience in European fusion dining with exposure in Japanese cuisine in luxury brand hotels or of a similar category.
3. Have a thorough knowledge of food products, standard recipes, and specific food preparation in Japanese Cuisine.
4. Good organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
5. Have a strong desire / adventurous spirit to expand your scope of experience in a foreign country.
