Job description

We are looking for a seasoned Japanese Sushi Chef for a high-end fusion Japanese restaurant located at a 5-Star Luxury Hotel in Jakarta, promoting luxurious stays and world-class dining. This brand-new restaurant features 70 seats, Sake Bar and Sushi Bar in a very stylish ambiance, overlooking the skyline of Jakarta.

In this role, you will report to the Executive Chef and work closely with a Japanese Celebrity Chef. You will also work with a professional team in a dynamic global hospitality group with a passion for delivering exceptional, personalized and unpretentious service.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Executive Chef to oversee the entire Sushi and related section.
2. Be responsible for supervising and coordinating every aspect of menu development, food preparation, food production.
3. Ensuring a high level of quality and service at all times.
4. Ensure a high level of food safety and food hygiene of the entire restaurant.

Requirements

1. At least 10 years of relevant experience in luxury brand hotels or of a similar category.
2. Have a thorough knowledge of raw meat material and ingredients, recipes, and preparation.
3. Have a strong desire / adventurous spirit to expand your scope of experience in a foreign country.
