We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Head of Sales Management, ASP.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Establish a robust distribution performance monitoring framework, and in conjunction with Finance, D&A, Risk and Compliance functions to develop timely and accurate MI reporting enabling accurate monitoring of KPI & KRI outcomes across all distribution channels. Develop insights into insurance sales performance in key markets, as input for business planning and development of Customer and Distribution Operating Plan
  • Partner with WPB Global Sales & Distribution, Global Insurance Product, and Global HR - Performance & Rewards, on WPB Scorecard, Incentives Framework and Learning & Training Event developments
  • Perform regular monitoring, read across, and industry benchmarking leveraging data and intelligence locally and within group. Proactively escalate abnormal trends, perform appropriate investigation, and provide findings and recommendations at global forums
  • Proactively engage stakeholders on strategic execution and proposals on growth initiatives, utilizing knowledge and expertise within group to support market fast adoption of Insurance Specialists sales model and Business Development Manager (BDM) enablers. Work closely with WPB functional leads to expedite approvals
  • Owner of Procedures and Operating Guidance supporting Insurance Distribution Risk Policy. Build strong partnerships with WPB and Insurance entities to continuously review and refresh procedures and operating guidance to ensure fit-for-purpose and support growth within HSBC Group risk appetite
  • Facilitate smooth running of all Group-level Forum and Committee meetings including GIDRC, GIIC. Contribute to other cross-functional business review meetings, Global Insurance Product Committee, WPB Distribution Risk Forum, GPB&W Risk Oversight Committee (ROC), CMB Global Product Committee, WPB Third Party Distribution Forum and WPB Insurance Partnerships Third Party Oversight Forum
  • Primary contact point for all HSBC Life manufacturing entities on matters related to Distribution Risk and Governance. Critical success factor of this role is to demonstrate strong expertise in Distribution Risk & Governance areas and provide effective guidance to markets, independently or in consultation with 2LOD risk stewards

Requirements - Strong knowledge of distribution channels, insurance products and sales processes

  • Expertise and experience in distribution risk and governance (market and/or regional/global level)
  • Effective strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong communications skills in both verbal and written business presentation, across business lines and teams, at senior levels within the organization
  • Strong financial and data analytic skills, familiar with KPI & KRI metrics
