We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Team Manager QA Sanctions COE .

Principal Responsibilities

  • Managing the end-to-end delivery of robust, independent and globally consistent Quality Assurance on the Design and Operating Effectiveness of controls
  • Leading and developing a diverse team of versatile, highly skilled Financial Crime professionals with an expert understanding of risk and controls, who are supported and empowered to grow
  • Ensuring key existing or emerging Financial Crime risks, compliance gaps and deviations to regulatory and policy requirements are identified and reported, in order to assist management with informed decisions on a sound risk appetite and timely remedial actions for preventing potential breaches
  • Delivering relevant, value-adding MI and QA reports to relevant stakeholders and governance forums on time and to the highest standards of quality
  • Where required, providing guidance to in-country QA colleagues on the consistent implementation of the global QA Methodology
  • Liaising with a broad range of stakeholders, including control owners, Risk Stewards, internal audit, assurance and legal teams to identify key themes and trends and provide subject matter expertise on all matters relating to QA
  • Understanding and keeping up to date with Financial Crime policy and the impact that has globally and on the Region
  • Supporting the Global Head of Quality Assurance with the implementation of QA strategic initiatives both in the Region and globally

Requirements

To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and experience: - Proven experience; preferably within a quality/compliance, risk or audit environment or equivalent

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in respect of Sanctions screening
  • Adept at people management, coaching, training, influencing, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator, excellent verbal and written communication skills (high level of English skills)
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and proven ability to meet challenging deadlines
  • Experience working with local and regional stakeholders and an understanding of global standards of quality
