Regulatory Compliance ensures adherence to applicable regulations and standards by setting the policies which cover HSBC’s regulatory requirements, and mitigate conduct and reputational risk issues. The team strives to remain ahead of the regulatory change agenda and ensures the business understands the implications and is prepared for change. It monitors how the Global Businesses and Functions manage their responsibilities with regard to complying with the regulations and helps resolve compliance deficiencies.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Anti Bribery and Corruption Manager, Compliance.

  • Assist in the implementation and execution of AB&C policies
  • Provide policy guidance and support to teams and business lines within the role holder’s area of responsibility, through coordination with Global teams when needed
  • Providing assistance in the management of the global AB&C framework and related projects, including governance routines, collection and reporting of internal metrics, tracking and oversight of remedial actions, and risk assessments
  • Assist in the review of local/ regional /business line AB&C practices and procedures
  • Assist in the design and implementation of targeted and general training
  • Liaise with other areas of the business and compliance to ensure full engagement of stakeholders
  • Deliver high performance (client service, behavioural expectations).
  • Provide highly professional, competent and skilled service to the Businesses, particularly focussing on effective the presentation of complex principles and policies
  • Develop effective relationships with key business and risk partners
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external Regulators

Requirements - Proven oversight and/or supervision of projects or programmes , preferably within a commercial environment

  • Good understanding of risk or compliance
  • Some appreciation of the application of rules and other relevant legislation and guidance, to project governance and oversight
  • Proven analytical skills, together with the ability to support decisions with sound commercial reasoning
  • Proven ability to clearly articulate business implications and analyses findings for presentation both to colleagues and Business Heads
  • Proven ability to design technically proficient, but simplified charts and other presentation/project management tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight time-lines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven team player with an open communication style
