The Opportunity

Join our Core Business Services (CBS) team and you will help support the important business enablement functions that keep our organization running strong. As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability. Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge and Risk Management.

Your key responsibilities

The Account Manager’s responsibility is to work closely with the client facing Client Executives in managing the account in such a way as to enhance and add value to service whilst minimizing the time spent by the Account Partner and Account Teams members on non-engagement activity. The Account Manager drives account discipline, communications and accountability.

Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications - External

Your key responsibilities include:

1. Client Management

  • Identify and build new relationships while recognizing and addressing gaps in existing relationships within the accounts by providing additional coverage of next layer of client seniority and future leaders
  • Understand client’s strategic priorities and work with CSPs and CEs to connect clients to the right people within the global EY network

2. Account Management

  • Work alongside the CSPs and CEs to develop and implement client centric account plans and strategies
  • Work alongside the account teams to identify the key stakeholders in each field of play and develop client outreach plans to strengthen these relationships
  • Coordinate and prepare the account management meetings (e.g. core account team meetings, monthly regional account team meetings, field of play meetings etc.)
  • Follow up on account actions by tracking progress against deadlines and driving activity
  • Manage the Client Experience (CX) / ASQ process for the accounts
  • Support client facing meetings, pursuits and proposals, using marketing collateral, research, client business analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Coordinate client relationship events (e.g. alumni, annual client entertainment events, wavespace, webcasts etc.)
  • Identify relevant EY thought leadership and insights to be shared with clients

3. Sales Management

  • Manage the CRM/account pipeline process and drive discipline across the account teams
  • Facilitate and support the pursuit/RFP process for new opportunities
  • Coordinate the annual global revenue planning process with CSPs, CEs and global account teams

4. Contract & Engagement Management

  • Advise and support client contacts and buyers on contracting, procurement and onboarding process
  • Manage the onboarding process for engagement teams and client contacts to make it easy for them to engage EY
  • Assist engagement teams with drafting SOWs and pricing (e.g. rate cards)
  • Manage the regional contract renewal process (e.g. local country agreement) and any other legal matters by acting as the interface between client procurement and legal teams and EY’s risk and legal teams

5. Admin Management

  • Manage internal and external communications within the accounts (e.g. newsletters)
  • Own reporting process (e.g. pipeline, revenues, financials etc.) for the accounts
  • Manage offshore GDS resource for the support of administrative tasks
  • Meeting scheduling, client invoicing, BD expense management and any other adhoc tasks

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Approximately four to six years of relevant experience; previous sales, marketing or project management experience is desirable
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, oral and presentation skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationship at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of EY’s account management and relationship tools and processes would be advantageous
