Assistant Director (Alumni Affairs) (Ref. 240912037-IE)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) manage the Alumni Affairs Team and oversee all aspects of alumni relations and engagement across Mainland China;
(b) plan, organise and execute alumni events to strengthen alumni relationships, institutional promotion, branding and community building;
(c) maintain and expand the alumni network in order to foster long-term relationships with graduates in Mainland China;
(d) formulate and implement strategies to enhance alumni involvement in University initiatives and programmes;
(e) collaborate with internal units and external stakeholders to ensure successful launching of alumni events and initiatives; and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Mainland Development or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a recognised degree in Education, Business Administration or a related discipline;
(b) have at least eight years of working experience at managerial level, preferably with experience in managing alumni relations, events or stakeholder engagement with a focus on Mainland China;
(c) demonstrate strong organisational, leadership, communication and event management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
(d) be proactive, independent and capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with alumni and stakeholders;
(e) be familiar with the alumni landscape and cultural environment in Mainland China; and
(f) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
Preference will be given to those possessing alumni management experience gained from higher education institutions.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
