Role Introduction
Reports to: Catering Operation Supply Chain and Inventory Management Manager/
Wine, Spirits and Beverage Manager
Departments: CCE - Catering Centre of Excellence
The position is responsible for providing support and consultancy for the team in managing catering /equipment/wines logistics/dry store invoice system and payment, catering equipment/wines logistics, budget inventory forecast and monthly explanation.
This position is further responsible for liaising and communicating with all concerned parties on projects (including Inflight catering equipment/ amenities cost-related projects, Inventory management and wine, beverage & dry store projects), ensuring that all projects are aligned with the agreed set basic standards and communicated properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the team manager in catering equipment, wine logistics budgeting, stock inventory balance and coverage and budget forecast.
- Manage the catering equipment, wines logistics and dry store (incl. frozen meal and ice cream) invoice validation and payment.
- Work with relevant parties in preparing catering equipment/wines logistics cost targets and budgets.
- Prepare and consolidate monthly variance explanation on different cost category and catering equipment/wine logistics initiatives update for management review.
- Manage equipment and wine logistics cost and prepare cost saving proposal when required.
- Liaise with Finance for all financial issues.
- Support regular management update on cost related issues and cost improvement projects. Provide recommendation and suggestion for any cost improvement opportunities.
- Support CCE FIN and Cost Control Team on invoicing/payment issue whenever necessary.
- Prepare and consolidate regular and ad-hoc cost impact analysis reports for management review.
- Prepare month end inventory reports for wine and dry store on monthly basis.
- Work with Airline Procurement Team(APD) for all agreements or contracts of Logistics Company and caterers and review the cost impact for contract renewal/extension.
- Monitor wine and equipment consumptions and conduct analysis on abnormal consumption data.
- Support and provide wine logistics, dry store and catering equipment related information such as consumption data when required.
- Work with IT/DGT team for any process/system automation improvement opportunities.
- Act as a “Plan Admin” for Business Continuity Planning(BCP), internal audit & lean projects review for Operation and Inventory Supplies team
- Support and coordinate Catering Operations, Supply Chain and Inventory & Wine, Beverage and Dry Store supplies team on projects when required.
- Update PPM, COM, ISD Ops Manual and assist to prepare/issue crew notice /NTBP when required.
- Take up catering improvement projects as directed by Head of Culinary Excellence/Catering Operation Supply Chain and Inventory Management /Manager & Wine, Spirits and Beverage Manager.
- Follow all reasonable instructions as directed by Head of Culinary Excellence/team managers.
- Perform cross functional tasks in line with your role level after sufficient training if & when required.
Requirements
- University education, preferably in business administration, catering or finance related disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience in airline, airline catering, logistic, inventory management and/or accounting related industry.
- Sound numerate/budgeting and analytical skills to formulate business analysis.
- Good command of both written and spoken English.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good planning, organisation and well-versed project management skills with PMP & Green belt certification a plus.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Practical skills on Macros, Project, Cognos, Qlikview, Brio.
- Knowledge of SAP will be advantageous.
