Private Banking and Trust Services

Hang Seng's Private Banking provides services for people who have successfully built their asset base and now want to place their wealth in the hands of experts who know how to nurture it.

Our banking services and products are bespoke, ranging from tailored investment advice and capital solutions to holistic health and personal protection and trustee services. Our team offers professional wealth management advice at both a local level and on a global scale.

Should you join our Private Banking business, you will focus on building close relationship with our high-net-worth customers, providing professional advice and premium service to them and contribute to the profitability of the Bank.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Executive Investment Counselor, reporting to Market Head.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, all-rounded wealth advisory services to Private Banking and Trust Services clients that support frontline staff to achieve and exceed the assigned business targets
  • Work very closely with various product owners to get hold of the most updated and relevant wealth management solutions
  • Provide topical market and strategy updates to sales teams on a regular basis
  • Raise the awareness on the latest regulatory or Group compliance requirements to frontline sales staff for their professional development
  • Proactively communicate sales propositions and investment opportunities

Requirements

  • University degree with passes in the Hong Kong Securities Institute Licensing Examinations OR professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP or CFMP preferred
  • Fulfilment of the competency requirements to carry out relevant regulated activities as defined under the Securities and Futures Ordinance
  • Proven experience in selling investment and banking products
  • Strong sales and customer orientation, with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work under pressure
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese, with proficiency in Putonghua an advantage
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage
  • Candidate who are less experienced will be considered as Investment Counselor
