WPB Chief of Staff –WPB Business Risk Management

The WPB Chief of Staff function adds further strength to the management team as it plays a vital part in driving the formulation of business strategies and managing business performance. The team supports the business to grow revenues and profitability, while meeting de-risking objectives and maintaining an effective risk management framework. Key responsibilities cover the below areas:

  • Support formulation, agreement, and implementation of strategic plans for the business
  • Cost structure transformation and management to future proof the bank
  • Risk governance to support the management team in risk oversight and decision making
  • Provide oversight of fraud management and operations activities

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Fraud Management Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, promoting, deploying and optimizing the retail banking mule detection strategies & controls mechanism.
  • Support fraud management strategy for protecting business against financial loss and improving customer experience
  • Ensue fraud analytics solutions are operating at optimum effectiveness
  • Provide subject matter expertise in design, development and maintenance of fraud risk controls to address the business and local regulatory requirement
  • Collaborate with Group and Local Analytic team to ensue fraud analytics solutions are operating at optimum effectiveness
  • Support the line manager and the Head of Fraud in understanding, managing, responding, echoing, explaining and promoting all mule detection related issues, including systems, procedures, and risk appetite enhancement or changes toward reducing and preventing the fraudulent activities from happening in the Bank.
  • Support the respond to any flash fraud attacks working with the wider business to design, develop and implement any required to any fraud controls with a focus on driving excellent customer experiences.

Requirements

  • University graduate or above.
  • With professional knowledge of understanding, managing, responding, echoing, explaining and promoting mule detection related issues.
  • 3 to 8 years’ closely related experience in fraud controls for financial sectors, or proved experience in the relevant working fields.
  • Knowledge of Retail banking products, digital payments, fraud management processes and controls is preferred
  • Good understanding in change management, project management, agile methodologies and techniques is preferred
  • Proven ability to work across markets with multiple teams under ever-changing environment
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, influence and negotiating skills
