Operations

The OPS team is comprised of experienced banking operations professionals dedicated to delivering time-to-market, efficient, and world-class processing services to our customers; corporations and financial institutions, as well as internal stakeholders.

If you join the OPS team, you will contribute to delivering excellent services through collaboration with colleagues, business partners, and Group Services Centers. In addition, you will gain valuable skills in process ownership, quality and risk management, coaching for high performance, adaptive operating models, and cost management.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Head of Global Payment Service Operations, reporting to Head of Operations.

Principal responsibilities

  • Drive exceptional Customer Service delivery of all GPS Operations services with accountability to the Businesses and GPS
  • Establishes strong working relationships with the lines of business, infrastructure teams and other key stakeholders
  • Ensure all Production Management, Operational Excellence and other operational management tools are used to drive world class operating performance
  • Mitigates and anticipates any risk around the control environment through execution of key controls and identification of any control weaknesses
  • Leads the GPS Operations team to share and implement best practice and improve performance using global and external benchmarking
  • Continuously assess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology
  • Manage the operations of the department or teams in a dynamic and challenging economic and regulatory environment
  • Develop trust and confidence within the business is vital challenge achieved through effective business knowledge along with operational risk management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Familiar with the global financial services environment, as well as current and emerging operations best practice. Payment experience is preferred
  • Extensive Operations Management or related experience and a proven track record in delivery
  • Experience using a range of data sources to prioritise resource allocation
  • Strong experience in managing risk
  • Strong relationship management and program / transformational change management skills
