We calculate the internationally recognised Hang Seng Index (HSI) and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) and continue to broaden our index range to meet a wide spectrum of investor demand for different index investment solutions. At present, we compile over 1,000 real-time and daily indexes covering both Hong Kong and mainland China.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Index Operations Manager.

Principal responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor the index system to support daily index services including index compilation and dissemination and data product delivery
• Conduct quality check on corporate actions, pricing, reference and fundamental data for index calculation
• Establish procedures to support new operation workflows and review existing operation processes to achieve work efficiency
• Participate and assist in new index and system enhancement projects, including providing user requirements and managing User Acceptance Test prior to system implementation

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Business Admin or a related discipline
• Minimum of five-year experience, preferably with financial data management or equity market operation background
• Experience in SQL or other relational database systems and MS Office applications including Excel and Access
• Sound knowledge of corporate actions in Hong Kong and/or PRC stock markets
• Detail-minded, diligent and careful worker, with an ability to work under pressure and independently
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Assistant Index Calculation Manager
• Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage
