Assistant Manager of Transformation and Architecture

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the supervisor to develop the IT project pipeline and engage with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to establish and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision, ensuring that the system or solution is suitable for its intended purpose and ongoing IT development.
  • Evaluate and adopt appropriate technologies or approaches, considering the benefits and total cost of ownership, including event-driven architecture, request-driven architecture, distributed computing, and centralized management.
  • Effectively manage IT expenses and budget to align with the overall IT and business strategy.
  • Plan, oversee, control, and deliver technology enablement projects and Proof of Concept, ensuring the successful achievement of implementation schedules, targeted results, and desired business benefits within budget.
  • Identify and manage project risks, escalating project issues to the supervisor or the Head of IT and Functional Business Heads as necessary.

​Key Requirements:

  • Possess a university degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline.
  • Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in delivering enterprise solutions.
  • Familiarity with containerization, serverless architecture, and microservices.
  • Knowledge of cloud services models, including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS.
  • Proficient in data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Proficient in data management tools and technologies, such as data cleaning, metadata management, and data quality control.
  • Experience in project management, solution architecture design, and various development approaches such as TDD, BDD, and DDD.
