Front Office Implementation Engineer - Leading Investment Bank - Hong Kong

My client, a global investment bank, are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front Office Equities OMS Implementation Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful implementation and integration of their Equities Order Management Systems (OMS). Your expertise will contribute to enhancing their trading capabilities, optimizing workflows, and ensuring seamless operations.

The role:

• Collaborate closely with front office teams, including traders, portfolio managers, and business analysts, to understand their requirements and translate them into effective OMS solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end implementation of Equities OMS systems, ensuring successful integration with existing systems and workflows.
• Conduct thorough analysis of current processes and identify areas for improvement, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Configure and customize the OMS platform to align with the specific needs of the Front Office, including order routing, execution workflows, compliance rules, and reporting.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the implementation process, ensuring clear communication, timely project milestones, and successful delivery.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of the OMS platform to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and support to front office users, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal utilization of the OMS system.
• Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the implementation or post-implementation phases.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to Equities OMS systems, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Proven experience in implementing front office Equities Order Management Systems (OMS) within financial institutions or trading firms.
• Strong understanding of equity trading processes, including order lifecycle, execution workflows, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in OMS platforms such as Fidessa, Bloomberg AIM, FlexTrade, or similar systems.
• Solid knowledge of equity market structure, trading protocols, and connectivity options.
• Experience in configuring and customizing OMS platforms, including order routing rules, compliance checks, and reporting capabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with front office stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors.
• Project management skills to ensure successful implementation within defined timelines and budgets.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing equities trading
