Lead Java Developer - Global Crypto Exchange - Hong Kong

My client, a global crypto exchange, is actively seeking a experienced java developer with risk management expertise to join their expanding team. As a Lead Java Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of robust and scalable software solutions for their risk management systems. Your deep understanding of in Java programming will be instrumental in driving the success of their risk management strategies and ensuring the integrity of the organization's risk assessment processes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software solutions for risk management systems.
• Collaborate closely with risk management professionals, quantitative analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into reliable and efficient software systems.
• Design and implement risk calculation models, methodologies, and algorithms using Java and related technologies.
• Optimize and refactor existing codebase to enhance system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of risk management systems to ensure accuracy, reliability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth operation of risk management processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to risk management and propose innovative solutions to enhance risk assessment capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and ensure successful project execution.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Java developer
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language, including multithreading, performance optimization, and design patterns.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in risk management concepts, methodologies, and calculations preferred.
• Familiarity with financial markets, instruments, and risk assessment frameworks.
• Experience in designing and implementing risk calculation models and algorithms.
• Experience using risk management tools and frameworks preferred.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex risk management challenges.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
