Supervise and collaborate with external legal consultants to oversee the preparation, assessment, and validation of various agreements, including acquisitions, mergers, partnerships, distributions, and transactions.
Lead M&A and partnership initiatives across the Asia Region, liaising closely with corporate finance and legal teams.
Stay abreast of evolving regulatory landscapes in the Asia Region, such as ESG and AI, and partner with local entities and legal teams to address emerging issues.
Engage with internal stakeholders, including procurement and IT, throughout the entire contract negotiation process, from RFP to closure.
Negotiate terms and conditions with external vendors and provide legal counsel to local legal teams to ensure regulatory compliance. Additionally, conduct training sessions to bolster legal capabilities at the country level and maintain legal templates.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably gained in international law firms based in Hong Kong, with a focus on China-related corporate/M&A matters.
Proven expertise in transactional work and corporate/commercial affairs, ideally within the insurance sector.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in Chinese.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously.
