Assistant Vice President - IT Risk and Control - IT

Job Summary:
The IT Risk and Control department plays a critical role in IT Division for maintaining a stable and controlled IT operating environment to support the day to day HKEX business operations.

Job Duties:

As an IT Risk and Control Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with the various IT specialist teams to identify control deficiencies and improve IT standards for the firm. You will drive and lead independent control assessment, and offer practical recommendations to IT management.

Responsibilities: - Plan and lead regular independent control assessment, including test and evaluate evidences and identify control deficiencies / improvement opportunities, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, HKEX policies / IT standards and industry standards

• Work with IT teams to define practical remediation, and properly document review results
• Prepare review reports to clearly articulate issues, root causes and recommendations to IT
• Evaluate the functionality of existing and new technology platforms to drive adherence to HKEX policies and IT standards
• Establish, enhance and maintain data analytics to uplift control review capability
• Work with IT teams to gather control design requirements and facilitate discussions to bring closure on identified control issues.
• Track, monitor and verify remediation or control implementation by technology functions for appropriate closure of identified risks and issues
• Conduct training to promotes IT risk and control awareness, tracks and reports on compliance with established IT policies and standards

• Collaborate on internal and external technology audits, and 2nd Line deep dives reviews

  Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in information technology or related disciplines

• Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience from a multinational financial institution / consultancy firm
• Professional qualification in IT GRC or IT auditing is required
• Strong in data analytics and problem analysis with critical thinking mindset
• Proficient verbal and written presentation and communications skills in English
• Good knowledge in IT infrastructure platforms technical know-hows and IT general controls
• Good knowledge of Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL or PMBOK is a plus
• Self-motivated and be able to work in a dynamic working environment

• Candidates with less experience will be considered as an individual contributor, as a junior Assistant Vice President.
