Bill Officer - Trade Finance Operation - Top Chinese Bank

Job Description

Overview:

A leading international commercial banking group in China, offering a wide range of corporate and retail banking products and services to diverse customers, is looking for a Bill officer to join their Trade Finance Operation Department.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Your main responsibility will be to handle and process Export Letter of Credit (LC) related products, such as Advising, Confirmation, Discounting, etc., in accordance with the bank's internal policies, SOPs, and ICC guidelines where applicable.
  • You will be responsible for managing EDMS scanning, filing, and other clerical activities, including handling couriers.
  • Ensure precise and prompt processing of all transactions, adhering to established procedures
  • Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, providing efficient and effective customer service related to trade finance operations
  • Maintain open communication with the direct supervisor, seeking guidance, assistance, and approval in case of any irregular or suspicious transactions, and provide regular feedback on ongoing activities.
  • You will participate in UAT for trade finance programs to ensure their accuracy, functionality, and efficiency.
  • Will be responsible for performing administrative duties, including preparing reports and maintaining accurate records

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, banking, or a related field.
  • Previous 2+ years’ experience in trade finance operations, with a focus on bill processing and management.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Back Office products, including Money Market, Foreign Exchange (FX), Fund Transfer, etc., will be considered an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (both spoken and written)
