Senior Sales Specialist - Data Redistribution

Position Summary

This is an opportunity for a senior, cross-regional business development professional to join the growing APAC Data & Feeds team to cover our newest area of revenue growth: Data Redistribution. As data is becoming a vital piece of infrastructure to the financial markets, a growing number of companies are looking to develop platforms, analytics, or detailed consulting services to sell to other institutions. Our collaboration with such a company constitutes part of our 'redistribution' business, i.e. selling data to a client that will then be redistributed to a third party.

Given its recent growth, and large total addressable market, we have built this new role with an APAC-wide remit, for 'Data & Feeds' - a business line that includes the vast majority of LSEG's 'off-platform' data feeds, infrastructure & services. For example, real time pricing data, digital wealth solutions, pricing and reference services, quantitative analytics, etc.

This role will have significant support, working with other individual sales specialists, account managers, solution consultants and especially our 'partnership' department to grow our revenue.

Role Responsibilities - Creatively structure, negotiate and close 'redistribution' deals.

  • Proactively and consistently seek for new opportunities.
  • Develop the sales strategy for data redistribution across APAC.
  • Collaborate with other front-line professionals to grow this business segment.
  • Be the subject matter expert on data redistribution licensing.

    Qualifications and Experience Required - Deep understanding of the financial sector, ideally connected to SaaS businesses.

  • While market data product knowledge is a plus, passion and proven selling skills are a far more important.
  • Strong sales 'closer'
  • Strong presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Business-level English is a must. Asian languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Experience driving sales strategies.
  • 3-6 years of industry, sales, or market experience
  • Consistent record in a quota bearing sales environment.
