Senior Business Analyst -Tax Regulatory Changes

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners, technology groups, suppliers, and customers to devise optimal solutions for Tax in Securities Services.
  • Establish product and operations prerequisites and system objectives by collaborating with relevant teams and end users.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and validate intricate information from multiple sources while fulfilling other assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Create comprehensive and precise process maps, business requirements, implementation roadmaps, and test plans.
  • Operate as a value stream within the product component team to implement the proposed solution.
  • Analyze message specifications and establish standardized data models.
  • Foster strong working relationships with the product, operations, and technology teams.
  • Assess the business implications of solution implementation within the current business environment.
  • Enhance operational practices through regular retrospectives and engagement with project teams and partner functions, utilizing alternative terminology.

Requirement:

  • A solid understanding of Tax and Custody is essential.
  • Proficiency in system development programs using both agile and waterfall approaches is a requirement. Experience in technology transformation is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities, enabling clear communication of complex information to various audiences (e.g., internal stakeholders, clients, etc.).
  • Willingness to challenge and ask probing questions to validate priorities, proposed solutions, and the realization of benefits.
  • Adaptability and initiative to promptly respond to changing situations flexibly.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating across different groups and time zones. Demonstrates the ability to work autonomously while recognizing when to seek guidance and approval.
  • Experience in implementing change within Agile frameworks, which may include formal qualifications, certified online courses, and/or evidence of practical experience.
  • Knowledge of post-trade, Equities, or Fixed Income within a Custodian or Broker Dealer environment is highly desirable but not essential for this role, particularly in Settlements or Asset Services.
  • Strong comprehension of IT infrastructure and software development.
