Assistant Finance Manager

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts for entities under asset management and principal investments
• Prepare monthly Financial Resources Rule returns (Type1, 4, 9) and ensure strict compliance under SFC regulations
• Oversee financial controls & reporting, financial analytics, regulatory financial compliance (client money & FRR), and audit & taxation matters for the related business lines
• Analyse the financial positions and performance and provide value adding information to the management
• Responsible for daily financial accounting & book keeping of related legal entities
• Assist in daily and monthly FRR reporting of licenced corporations
• Prepare various reconciliation reports between external and internal parties
• Prepare client money segregation & desegregation
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and year-end tax filing
• Assist in year-end audit & regulatory assignment
• Key contact point for banking transactions
• Advise on accounting and finance related regulatory matters for new products & business flows
• Evaluate and implement robust internal controls and efficient accounting process
• Communicate and work closely various functions in the organization
• Brainstorm and implement ideas to improve the work flow & output quality using technology
• Handle ad-hoc financial enquiries and assignments​

Requirements

• Degree holder
• CPA or equivalent qualification
• 3+ years relevant experiences in audit, financial services/ financial reporting
• Familiarity with IFRS and FRR reporting.
• In-depth knowledge in accounting, financial products, regulatory requirements and industry operations.
• Proficiency in use of computer systems including MS office, ERP systems such as SAP
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• High level of work ethics, professional integrity and compliance of internal control policies
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability. Good team players
• Strong sense of ownership
