Data Tech Lead/Analyst, Leading Insurance Firm

Responsibilities

Oversee data management requirements gathering, analysis, and clarification for the project.
Review and provide feedback on the design of data management components, including data models, ETL, MDM, and storage systems.
Ensure data quality through review, validation rules, and exception handling.
Offer technical advice to the vendor and project team on data solution-related questions.
Review and approve functional and technical designs and specifications.
Assess test scope, approach, and strategies for data management.
Collaborate with vendor and internal teams for technical discussions.
Work with onshore and offshore development teams.
Manage the vendor, actively monitor delivery, and oversee scope, schedule, quality, and cost.

Requirements

Minimal 2 years of experience (analyst), up to 9 years of experience (tech lead) in digital areas such as front-end, API integration, and data engineering.
Lead and coordinate multiple technical tracks for integration, requiring strong communication and coordination skills.
Collaborate and coordinate with other local IT teams, including architects and business analysts and with external vendors (prior vendor management experience is a plus).
Hands on development experience is a must, Azure cloud experience is a nice to have.
Familiarity with AS/400 or experience in integrating with core legacy systems.
Prior experience in the insurance industry is a must.
Hong Kong passport/work permit
