The Company

Robert Half Financial Services is hiring for fund accountant within US Base Top tier PE fund house in Hong Kong.

The Role

The Fund Accountant will play a vital role in managing the financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: - Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities for private equity funds, including journal entries, cash and investment reconciliations, and expense allocations

  • Prepare financial statements, investor reports, and other fund-related reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date investment records, including tracking capital calls, distributions, and valuations
  • Collaborate with the investment team to ensure accurate and timely recording of investment transactions and fair value measurements
  • Assist in the preparation of fund performance reports, including calculation of investment returns and metrics
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals for fund audits and tax filings
  • Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts related to the private equity funds
  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting processes and controls
  • Stay updated with industry regulations and best practices in private equity fund accounting

    Your Profile - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred

  • Proven experience in private equity fund accounting or relevant finance roles within the investment industry
  • Strong understanding of private equity fund accounting principles, including fair value measurements and carried interest calculations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, with advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements for private equity funds
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
