Our index series includes the Hang Seng Index, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index and the Hang Seng TECH Index, as well as Stock Connect, Greater Bay Area and sector-related indexes. As at the end of 2020, assets under management in products passively tracking indexes in the Hang Seng Family of Indexes had reached a total of about US$38 billion.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior IT Development Manager.

Principal responsibilitie s- Lead a team to design and develop index systems, which are aligned with group standards, IT and business strategy, meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory and operational risk controls.

• Manage the development team to ensure IT strategy is aligned with the business strategies of Hang Seng Index.
• Define the future IT landscape and convert business strategies into actions in IT application design and development process to maximize IT investment values
• Participate and mobilize the team in flagship and large complex IT transformation projects

Requirements- University degree in Computer Science or related discipline

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the IT development with over 5 years in supporting digital platform and API service, preferably in financial data service domain.
• Exposure on digital technology (e.g. API architecture platform, security and authentication system and content management system), Cloud technology (e.g. Google Cloud), financial market data processing (Indexes, Equities, Fixed Incomes, Futures and Options) is preferred
• Familiar and have good track record in transforming financial domain requirement into system solution.
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes, especially in providing critical system support
• Good understanding on new technology trend (e.g. Generative AI, Open API, Cloud computing)
• Strong communication, analytical, problem solving skills, people management and project management skills
• Ability to work under high pressure and commit to deadline and quality
• In-depth understanding on software development methodologies and Agile development methodology.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese
