Job Description
Job Purpose:
Analyses business needs and designs application programs when required. Monitor and ensure project is on schedule. Provides technical support in the development and maintenance of application software and products. Responsible for analysis, design, verification, implementation and tuning of application software.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand system requirements and objectives
Analyze existing systems, processes, and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
Evaluates software packages
Banking application development and enhancement
Design application software and verifies delivered results
Ensure development work follow department standards and guidelines
Ensure the software development progress according to schedule and participates in program development when necessary to meet the predefined development schedule
Conduct and provide support on unit test, SIT and UAT
Prepare technical documentations
System rollout and support
Liaise with vendor on system support and maintenance
Participate in daily system support and maintenance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or above in Information Technology or other relevant disciplines
6 years of experience in application software development with 2 to 3 years in system analysis, preferably gained from banking & finance industry. Candidates with more experience will be considered for the position of Senior System Analyst.
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies
Experience in conducting system evaluations, gathering requirements and solution design
Hands on experience in Oracle, Linux shell script
Experience on Linux, Windows Platform
Experience in supporting Treasury System (e.g. Murex, Summit) is an advantage
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
