Our client, a reputable Hong Kong Based multi-strategy Hedge Fund is looking for an Operations Associate to work alongside Traders, Accounting, and other members of the Operations team to ensure reporting is delivered on a timely and accurate basis. This incumbent will report to the chief operating office directly.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile holdings and profit & loss between the proprietary risk system, portfolio management system, and fund administrator
- Review and resolve daily position and cash reconciliations, provided by middle office providers and administrators.
- Review daily pricing of portfolios and generate P&L daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Facilitate the settlement of all trades with counterparties through daily trade confirmation and break resolution.
- Ensure the post execution trade flow from the OMS to both internal systems and external prime brokers.
- Monitor corporate actions, coordinate with administrator/ middle office provider, and book in OMS when necessary.
To succeed in the role, you are requiring having minimum 3 years operations/ middle office experience from buyside or fund administrator with hedge fund client focus.
Requirements:
- University graduated in Finance, Business Administration or relevant disciplines
- General knowledge of and familiarity with financial instruments (ie: Equities, fixed income, options, swaps, futures, foreign exchange) within multiple Asian markets.
- Proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Eze Castle and Enfusion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
