Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborates with business on project requirements, analyses needs, prepares project feasibility studies, and identifies appropriate systems solutions that address business problems and opportunities
• Establishes and monitor project priorities, plans, budgets, and resources. Ensure systems change requests are properly handled and impact analysis are carried out on a timely basis.
• Controls and directs project activities; participates in system design; reviews and approves key milestones and deliverables
• Monitors status, prepares activity and progress reports, and identifies problems which may impact results; provides feedback on activity progress; coordinates all phases of system testing including stress test; oversees preparation of system documentation, training, and implementation of new/modified systems
• Conducts capacity planning with user periodically. Monitors the performance, accuracy, stability and reliability of the production systems and ensures data security on all production data. Raise to system users and IT Management any recommendations and issues that may compromise them
• Conducts research and maintains a high level of expertise in systems software to ensure departmental operations and installations in user areas are of the highest quality
• Sets goals, assigns, and directs staff activities; provides guidance and training; reviews and evaluates work of staff and assists in preparation of annual staff performance appraisals
• Has overall responsibility for major application environments including operational support
• Review and approve system change requests and comply with all requirements of change management. Conducts technical walkthrough with members of Change Board
• Investigates, manages, resolves production problems, drives root cause analysis, takes preventive actions and shares lesson learnt
• Manages external relationships with vendors and consultants
• Enforces & promotes the policies, objectives, standards and missions from both the corporate and IT management
• Participates in IT objectives or strategy formulation & implementation, and should ensure all messages from management can be well communicated to the team
• Acts as a leader in his/her responsible team, perform coaching & motivation of the team members, understanding their needs and all issues can be reflected to the top management
Job Requirements:
• At least 10 years of relevant banking experience in project management, preferably with knowledge of financial applications
• Experience in private banking system, unit trust/fund order management system is an advantage
• Technical knowledge in Java, Oracle database, Oracle WebLogic, SQL Server, C#, Microsoft .Net, IBM MQ is an advantage
• Solid project management and analytical skills with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently under pressure with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
• Eagerness and ability to achieve aggressive project targets
