• Knowledge of market specific processes - China QFII, India FPI
• Communicating with prime brokers, custodians and multiple internal teams (front and back office)
• Oversight of cash and position discrepancies from reconciliations
• Investigation of issues that may arise from settlements and payments
• Booking of corporate actions and reorganizations
• Prepare wires for funding and account sweeps
• Interaction with Co-Sourcing team and 3rd Party Administrator
• Assisting the Hong Kong trading desks, including but not limited to trade date confirmation and allocations between funds
• Monitor static data in the security master by setting up new securities/products
• Assisting with issues for matching of trades using the automated OMGEO CTM and TRAIANA systems
• Daily checking of trade date recaps for any other trades executed
• Processing of Placement/ investor letters
• Creating FX hedges at the end of the day and assisting with ad-hoc FX trades during the day
• Electronic trading implementation of new brokers and maintenance
• Monitoring of upcoming future expiries, including assistance on any roll’s
Attributes
• 5-7 years Middle Office/Operational experience in Hedge Funds or Investment Banks
• Finance degree preferred
• English language mandatory and Mandarin language in addition
• Broad knowledge of multiple asset classes, ideally corporate bonds, equity and syndicated loans
• Geneva experience a plus
• Advanced Excel skills
• Detail oriented - attention to details and to customer/client needs
• Collaborative team player, proactive, self-starter, who can implement process changes
• Fast learner, motivated, innovative, enthusiastic and rigorous
• Able to follow directions and apply knowledge learned.
• Strong communication skills – ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
