UX/UI Designer - Associate - Application Engineering - IT - 12-month contract

Job Summary:
Application engineering & Integration is part of the Information Technology Division in HKEX. The department is responsible for defining and building the common applications that other HKEX systems could use.

Job Duties:

As a UX/UI Designer in our team, you will have the opportunity to drive enterprise design practices across the HKEX Group. Your work will involve collaborating with product teams and a diverse set of disciplines to deliver compelling, customer-focused designs. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure that our end-users have a professional and seamless experience across our digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities:- Contribute towards end-to-end design process across digital products in HKEX group: support design workshops and user research; create user journeys, mock-ups and high fidelity designs; facilitate brainstorming and design validation, collaborate with development teams to implement design specifications.

• Define, implement and advocate for enterprise design frameworks, quality standards, and reusable enterprise UI library that meet different business needs and adhere to corporate branding requirements.
• Form partnerships across disciplines and product groups to seek input, maintain alignment, prioritize improvements and encourage knowledge and information sharing to boost adoption and productivity and drive meaningful outcomes.

• Keep abreast of latest industry trends and best practices in design and user experience domains to identify new opportunities and innovative ideas for improving our products and processes.

  Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in product and user experience design.
• Have a design portfolio demonstrating a user-centred design approach using modern UIs across multiple platforms with high business and user impact.
• Strong experience with developing and incorporating reusable design frameworks and UI components library into business and product development processes.
• Highly proficient in supporting design workshops and user research.
• Hands-on visual design skills and capabilities in creating UX/UI artefacts.
• Ability to effective collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling user experiences while balancing design details with business impact and technical implementation considerations.
• Solid knowledge and skills on Figma. Understanding of other design and front end development tools is a plus.
• Experience with delivering with different product development methodology and ways of working.
• Cross-location role, with the opportunity to work in both Hong Kong and China.

• Have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese. Ability to communicate in Putonghua would be an advantage, but not compulsory.
