Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing foreign banks in Hong Kong, which has a strong presence in corporate banking globally. They are currently seeking a Senior Associate (1-year renewable contract) to join their Accounting and Finance Team.
Responsibilities
- Working in a team of 3, reporting to the head of finance.
- Assist in preparing HKMA related banking returns, financial reports and tax reports.
- Responsible in handling HK branch's cost and budget control, assuring expenditure remain within the budget plan.
- Maintain a well-organized and documented accounting, finance, and MIS filing system. Ensure accurate posting and recording of income and expenditure vouchers.
- Address and resolve daily challenges pertaining to balance sheet management and the maintenance of regulatory ratios.
- Support the update and implementation of core banking system. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the development of new products and the implementation of financial or regulatory reporting systems.
- Assist with the calculation of ALCO ratios and prepare required reports and forecasts for liquidity ratios when needed.
- Liase with internal and external parties to coordinate the provision of information during annual audit.
Requirements
- Degree holder
- Minimum 3-5 years with any relevance experience in the banking industry
- Knowledge in ERP, Core banking replacement, Tax management systems is a plus.
- Candidate with audit background will have advantage.
- Proficient in Cantonese and English
- Candidate with less experience will consider as Associate level.
