Assistant Vice President - Trading Development (Market Structure including Stock Connect)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a bright, engaged, and analytical talent to join our Trading Development Team who will help us on HKEX's strategically important initiatives related to Hong Kong cash market and Stock Connect programme. Working as part of Trading, you will work closely across various disciplines within the organisation to design and implement holistic, integrated and practical solutions to support HKEX group/business objectives. You will not only get involved in in-flight projects, but also conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends and needs. You will also gain hands-on experience to see through project implementation including business analysis and justification, solution design, project management, ensuring market readiness and obtaining regulatory approvals. Job Duties:

Responsibilities:- Execute and implement market structure enhancement initiatives in Hong Kong cash market and Stock Connect that drive commercial growth of the firm and/or improvement of market quality, liquidity and maintenance of market orderliness.

• Act as an internal subject matter expert for Hong Kong market structure and Stock Connect and assist in liaison and lobbying with internal and external stakeholders including other business departments, industry bodies and regulators for the smooth delivery of projects.
• Conduct market and policy research in response to latest market landscape and regulatory trends and for the execution of strategic projects.

• Prepare project documentations including management papers, proposals, reports and other presentation materials (both in English and Chinese).

  Requirements:- University degree holder preferably in finance/ economics or other business related subjects

• 6+ years' relevant experience in the financial services industry preferably involving project management
• High agility with growth mindset; a self-starter, team player and good communicator with sound judgment and good problem solving skills
• Strong business sense with ability to multitask across priorities and deadlines
• Strong technical skills and solid understanding about Hong Kong cash market and Stock Connect is an advantage

• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
