Associate - Data Product Development - Emerging Business & FIC

Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Data Product Development department and play a significant role in shaping the data product, a growth business within the group. Data Product Development team is responsible for delivering differentiating data products that align with the strategy of the business and the exchange as a whole, with coverage on all Data "asset classes" including Market Data, Non-Traditional (Alternative) data, Analytics, Indices and ESG.

Job Duties:

The successful applicant will join the Data Product Development Department of Emerging Business & FIC Division and support the team in business development and strategy execution. In this role, a good blend of business and technical expertise is required.

Responsibilities:- Work with the team on execution of data strategy, identify new business opportunities and drive departmental business planning.

• Conduct market research and keep abreast of market and regulatory development
• Develop and prepare content for presentations and documentations, including business proposals, research & analysis, and updates for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Work with internal stakeholders and 2nd line of defense to identify risk factors and mitigation plan, support internal committee and board approval process and on-going governance process.
• Coordinate procurement of vendor services, work with internal and external stakeholders in agreement negotiation and risk assessments
• Support project managers to coordinate project, drive cross-divisional collaboration to identify and resolve issues and ensure delivery.

• Prepare, track and manage budget for the department.

  Requirements: - Relevant university degree or equivalent.

• 5-8 years of experiences in data business, trading and investments, financial industry or relevant fields.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and high agility, excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, strategic thinking, interpersonal and communication skills
• Solid experience in business development or project management
• Working knowledge of Data Science and Analytics and cloud implementation a plus.
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, both written and verbal

• Candidates with more experience will be considered for an AVP role
