Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Emerging Business team and play a significant role in shaping the data product, a growth business within the group. This newly form team will be responsible for delivering differentiating data products that align with the strategy of the business and the exchange as a whole. We are looking for a high caliber and motivated individual to join our team with responsibility spanning across strategy execution and project implementation.

Job Duties:

To be successful in this role you will leverage your domain expertise and passion for the industry to:

Responsibilities: - Develop new index data products that align with the strategy of the business and the exchange as a whole.

• Back test and evaluate new models and ideas, run comprehensive market/sector analysis.
• Lead activities and required tasks across new product lifecycle to ensure the smooth and timely launch of new product, create content and provide market intelligence.
• Stay updated on industry trends, perform market research across different indexing and passive investment, asset classes and financial markets.
• Understand client needs, current trends, and best practice in the industry to design methodology and products client will use and value.
• Assess potential partners and strategic engagements. Maintain strong relationships and serve as liaison with both internal and external stakeholders, partners and clients
• Promote any new capabilities across asset classes and new capabilities as they are developed.
• Create presentations and papers using excellent communication skills to gain support and investment in product initiatives.

• Leverage strengths as a team player to collaborate across various functions including IT, Research, Sales and Operations.

  Requirements: - Relevant university degree or equivalent.

• 10+ years of experiences in financial data business, research, or relevant fields. (i.e. index/equity research position, product development, fund management)
• Demonstrate deep understanding of relevant programming languages and tools, third party software products.
• Exposure on Hong Kong and China equity market, good understanding of investment strategies.
• Research and/or Product Development experience.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset and high agility.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
