The Sustainability Director will be responsible for leading and implementing sustainability and ESG initiatives within our not-for-profit organisation. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving sustainability agenda to ensure the organisation meet our environmental and social goals.

Our client is a large non-profit organisation based in Hong Kong, known for its commitment to making a positive impact on the community. With a diverse team of professionals, the organisation is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and ensuring that their operations align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards.

Description

• Developing and implementing the organization's sustainability strategy and action plan.
• Leading ESG initiatives across the organization.
• Collaborating with different departments to ensure sustainability objectives are integrated into their operations.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of sustainability trends and legislation.
• Preparing sustainability reports and presenting them to the board of directors.
• Managing relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers and community groups.
• Training staff on sustainability practices and promoting a culture of sustainability within the organization.

Profile

• A degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• A professional accounting qualification with 12 to 15 years of post-qualification experience is required.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• A passion for sustainability and a commitment to making a positive impact on the community.
• Networking and relationship management skills. Well-organised, able to work independently and in teams.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and proficiency in Putonghua would be an advantage.
