Job Posting Details The Department is looking for a skillful, self-motivated and high caliber candidate who is capable of supervising and providing training to other technical staff.

Duties & responsibilities of the appointee include:

1. Support faculties and researchers in procuring lab equipment, consumables and services and update the equipment inventory list periodically;
2. Conduct routine checking for lab equipment including inspection, maintenance and calibration periodically;
3. Support the Department to plan and perform teaching laboratory courses and student function activities;
4. Providing trainings to RPGs on appropriate use of laboratories and equipment;
5. Maintain CIVL Laboratories in a safe and good working environment through daily inspection and cooperation with the HSEO;
6. Manage the recurrent laboratories budget; and
7. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or relevant discipline with at least 5 years’ post qualification experience. Candidates should have a good command in both written and spoken in English and Chinese. (Duration: 2 years, renewable) Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
