Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan for the transformation of the commodity trading operations, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timeline, and budget.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to execute strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices, standardizing processes, and utilizing innovative technologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and issues proactively and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate project updates, status reports, and key milestones to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide management and guidance to project team members, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in commodity trading operations, with a strong understanding of trading processes, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.) is preferred.
