Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of talented developers to build cutting-edge solutions within an asset management company.
- Involve in design, analysis, development, and testing to build high-quality software and products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (Front Office/Middle Office/Compliance users), and keep them updated on the progress of projects
- Deliver a working code that meets acceptance criteria as well as meets the definition of done.
- Participate in testing, deployment, and production activities of the team to ensure production stability.
- Engage in process re-engineering, software enhancement, cybersecurity, and next-generation (Big Data/AI/ML, etc.) initiatives
- Work in close collaboration with a dynamic team of top technologists, quant researchers, traders, and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Computer Science or equivalence
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing commercial applications
- Hands-on experience in Python application development
- Demonstrated hands-on experience developing and implementing high-quality software solutions utilizing Java or C#.
- Proven experience in web-based front-end (Django / Angular) application development.
- Good understanding of object-oriented, multi-threading programming concepts
- Able to work independently under tight schedules and pressure
- Good command of both spoken and written English
- Good team player
- Experience in design patterns, algorithms, and sound knowledge of various data structures
- Knowledge of web technologies (Example: Semantic UI, D3.js, Node.js, etc.) is a huge plus.
- Understanding of investment banking businesses, as well as the underneath and components in both flow and exotic financial instruments
- Working experience on a trading floor
