Senior Systems Development Manager - AVP - Post-trade Systems - IT

Job Summary:
The Post-trade Systems Development & Support team comprises a number of specialized application teams that have in-depth technology knowhow of HKEX systems to support the on-going maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancements of HKEX systems and the development of next generation HKEX platforms.

Job Duties:

As Senior Systems Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for application development and technical support on critical application systems on IBM mainframe platform under Post Trade Systems team.

Responsibilities: - Responsible for system development and project implementation activities including business requirement analysis, resource estimation, schedule development, application development, testing, cutover & post-launch support and documentation.

• Design and develop systems with mainframe and modern technologies.
• Coach and supervise developers.
• Collaborate with teams across IT and business departments on different system development and support activities.
• Conduct quality assurance review for complex system design and code changes.
• Assess technological risk and drive actions for mitigation.
• Investigate and resolve design defects and technical issues.
• Provide production support and conduct trouble shooting as required.

• Uphold compliance with organization policies and standards.

  Requirements: - Degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT or related disciplines

• Minimum 10 years' system analysis, design and development experience in IBM mainframe platform
• Solid experience in z/OS, DB2, COBOL, CICS, Easytrieve Plus, JCL, CA-7 and MQ
• Experience in application integration between mainframe and open platform is a definite advantage
• Proficiency in SDLC methodology and documentation
• Experience in financial services industry or other highly regulated organizations is preferred while not essential
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. (Fluent Mandarin is an added advantage)
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and people management skills

• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Systems Development Manager
