Global Banking & Markets - Global Markets
Hang Seng's Global Markets business provides superior service, fully integrated solutions and 24-hour global markets coverage. Our support framework is substantial. Our advanced technologies deliver quick access to key markets. Our capital strength allows us to tailor competitively-priced solutions for specific client business around the world. We provide a full spectrum of treasury services to our customers, including foreign exchange, interest rate risk management, derivatives products, capital markets instruments, as well as market intelligence on global trends and key developments.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Global Markets as Business Manager.
Principal responsibilities
• Support the business line management in day to day operational and administrative management of the business
• Develop the implementation of Global Markets plans and priorities, to manage delivery of the agreed strategy in coordination with Functions
• Support the business line management in the adoption of Group's and regulatory policies/guidelines, including design site specific procedure and internal control workflow, and in the adherence to conduct and control best practices
• Prepare product papers for new products, services or processes
• Support the business line management in the proposition and internal adoption of new business initiatives
• Analyse new regulatory requirements and their impact for each product class and liaise with all regulatory parties internal and external as required
• Lead initiatives enabling a higher control of the direct and indirect costs, as well as an improved FO to BO operations of the business
• Participate in system development workgroup, perform business impact analysis and monitor projects progress
• Ensure that strong working relationships are developed and maintained with all other Business support and functional teams
Requirements
• University degree in Business Administration or other relevant qualifications
• Minimum of five years of experience in banking or financial institutions , preferably with experience in product development, business planning/management, and risk and control management
• Experience in Global Markets COO office, with knowledge in Market Treasury and Equity business is a plus
• Excellent in planning and managing projects
• Attentiveness to details and self motivated
• Good communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Highly adaptable to changes and challenges
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in Mandarin an advantage
• Great sense of ownership and serving mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer services processes.
