Officer - Data Product Development - Emerging Business & FIC (12 months contract)

Job Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Data Product Development department and play a significant role in shaping the data product, a growth business within the group. Data Product Development team is responsible for delivering differentiating data products that align with the strategy of the business and the exchange as a whole, with coverage on all Data "asset classes" including Market Data, Non-Traditional (Alternative) data, Analytics, Indices and ESG.

Job Duties:

The successful applicant will join the Data Product Development Department of Emerging Business & FIC Division and support the team in business development and strategy execution. In this role, a good blend of business and technical expertise is required.

Responsibilities: - Identify new opportunities for the HKEX Data Business.

• Contribute to analysis and research, conduct market research and keep abreast of market and regulatory development
• Support the team in developing and preparing content for presentations and documentations, including business proposals, research & analysis, and updates for senior management and external stakeholders
• Prepare, track and manage budget for projects and the department

• Leverage strengths as a team player to collaborate across various functions including IT, Sales and Operations, 2nd line of defense to name a few, proatively work with other teams to coordinate and prepare reports and meeting materials

  Requirements: - Relevant university degree or equivalent.

• 3-5 years of experiences in data business, trading and investments, financial industry or relevant fields.
• Ability to self-start, self-learn, be adaptable, work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong collaboration, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word
• Experience in Product and/or Project Management a plus.
• Working knowledge of Data Science & Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure Technology a plus.
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, both written and verbal.

• Candidates with more experience will be considered for an Associate role
