Principal Engineer - Cloud Architect

Main Responsibilities

• Organize and design technical plans for complex roadmap initiatives.

  • Develop design principles, architecture decisions, patterns, best practices, and other technical guidance.
  • Set a uniform process for reviewing designs within software teams, and define standards for writing, sharing, and reviewing design documents.
  • Build relationships and drive alignment with stakeholders within and across teams. Build and leverage your influence as a highly-respected individual contributor to drive for positive impacts.
  • Provide critical guidance in early system designs, accelerate project decision-making, and maintain close oversight of technical execution.
  • Lead the technology innovation strategy, promote best practices and new technology adoption.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10 years of experience in the tech industry; 5 years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems with cloud architecture such as AWS, GCP, Tencent Cloud or equivalent.
  • Expertise in critical thinking, decision making, and quantitative reasoning.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions. You can take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish-line.
  • A proven track record of developing processes where few exist, and demonstrated flexibility to get things done.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication and people skills, with the ability to present and communicate complex problems solutions simply, and influence stakeholders.
