Consistently ranked amongst the top in its field, our Equity Research team looks at economic, market, industry and company data to enhance the performance of clients' global portfolios and to help companies set their strategic direction.

III. Equity Research

We are looking to hire an Analyst / Associate in the regional Economics Research team to focus on Asia. This position involves working under the Chief Asia Economist to analyse the emerging economic trends/themes across the Asian economies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify emerging macro themes in the Asia region and its implications
• Analysing economic data and trends
• Conduct empirical research on a broad range of economic issues
• Construct econometric models such as leading indicators, nowcasting models
• Macro-modelling
• Help clients reach investment conclusions through fundamental data analysis & support
• Pan-Asian role based in Hong Kong

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong academic background in Economics (Masters Economics Graduate preferred with strong interest to build a career in economics
• 1–3 years working experience, preferably in macro research
• Strong academic background in economics and econometrics
• Critical thinker with a high level of intellectual curiosity
• High level of initiative
• Strong problem-solving skills in unstructured and stressful situations
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written; Preferably effectively bilingual in Mandarin/English
