APAC Securities Specialist

Your role
Are you detail oriented and can multi-task? Are you someone who can understand the full trade lifecycle from stock execution to settlement? Do you enjoy working with both internal and external stakeholders to provide a first class settlement service and support business growth? Are you someone who will not accept the status-quo, and willing to drive process improvements and controls to meet the ever changing market and regulatory environment? We're looking for someone like that to help us:

• Be the first point of contact for internal and / or external business partners, clients, account managers and relationship managers within a highly regulated environment
• Deliver a best-in-class client experience, using an innovative approach to identify and address client needs.
• Proactively identify, assess, and resolve potential market risks, and escalate in a timely manner.
• Formulate and review procedures and processes to streamline workflow and minimize operational risk.
• Perform daily reconciliation on cash and stock breaks, and proactively resolving the issues whilst identifying root cause.
• Identify and recommend methods to improve processes, reduce risks, increase controls, and increase customer satisfaction
• Work closely with Front & Middle Offices, and our agent bank to minimize market risk, and ensure smooth settlement.
• Commit to a culture of continuous improvement on our settlement procedures.

• Be the subject matter expert, and take part in ad hoc projects on business development, system migration and regulatory changes.

  Your team
  You will be working in the APAC Securities Operation team. The team supports the Investment Banking securities businesses, mainly covering HK & Stock Connect markets and institutional clients. The team works closely with Front and Middle Offices regionally and globally to handle internal and external client queries, and trades enquiry. We are also the primary business and agent bank face-offs. Our key objective is to ensure timely settlement of trades, minimize fails and to prevent market risk, with continuous improvement on process efficiency and risk control.

  Your expertise

  • A university degree. We welcome candidates from all disciplines.
• Experience with CCASS terminal and Stock Connect market is highly desirable
• Problem solving; Attention to detail and various deadlines; Ability to acquire new knowledge and skills effectively
• A team player who collaborates well with different functions from different locations.
• A strong communicator and client focused, who can confidently convey information to different audience. Fluent English is a must; Mandarin is advantageous but not essential.

• Someone who is passionate in driving and delivering process improvements and changes.
