We are seeking a skilled Best Execution Market Conduct Analyst with experience in the following areas to join our Team:
• Developing and implementing strategies for detection of potential best execution issues.
• Monitoring and analyzing market activities to identify potential instances of market abuse, with a particular focus on best execution.
• Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of 1st line and 2nd line internal controls framework, policies, procedures as they relate to best execution.
• Executing independent 2nd line reviews, testing and monitoring processes with respect to best execution.
• Engaging with business and compliance stakeholders on the best execution-related findings and other matters.
Your team
Our Team's purpose is to ensure UBS continues to meet regulatory obligations to achieve the best execution when executing orders/transactions on the clients' behalf.
As a member of the Market Conduct Surveillance Team in Hong Kong or Singapore, you will have an opportunity to:
• Learn about UBS and its clients' trading strategies and profiles.
•Develop knowledge and understanding of market structure, execution tools, algorithmic nuances, and execution venues.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to analyze trading data and patterns, seeking out anomalies and irregularities.
• Collaborate closely with trading desks, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to investigate and resolve suspected cases of potential best execution breaches.
•Stay up-to-date with market regulations, industry trends, and technological advancements that could impact best execution practices.
•Produce detailed reports and summaries of findings, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner to senior management and stakeholders.

Your expertise
Let's talk if you have...
• 4 - 6 years of relevant work experience in the market surveillance, trade analysis, or compliance within a financial institution.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, Investment Banking business, trading practices, products (equities and ETDs) and best execution concepts.
• Exceptional familiarity with the relevant best execution-related market regulations.
• Academic background with a degree preferably in a quantitative field. CFA Level 1 is a plus.
• Experience with reviewing, processing and interpreting large data sets using data analysis tools and software. Coding experience is a plus.
•Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment, understand complex issues quickly, to explain them clearly and concisely, and propose practical solutions.
