Mr Ho Kai-ming, the Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, was invited as the Guest of Honour at the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management Annual Conference & Exhibition 2026, where he delivered the opening remarks. Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) served as a supporting organisation, and Mr Felix Chan, the Director of HKTE, also attended the event. Themed “The Future Unfolding: Leadership, Talent and Work in a Changing World”, the conference brought together human resources professionals.
In his remarks, Mr Ho emphasised that AI is not a threat. The key is how local and global talent work with AI to amplify workforce potential. He noted that incoming talent brings new technologies, ideas, capital and international connections that complement the local workforce and create new opportunities.
