Reporting to the Head of Partner Resources, you will act as a strategic business partner providing leadership, training, and consultation and expertise in various HR areas; supporting strategic staffing goals to attract, develop and retain a high-quality diverse workforce; and to ensure effective delivery of Partner Resources products and services to all Starbucks partners.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Work with retail operations to determine their strategic staffing needs. Develop plans and strategies to address their current and future needs.
  • Ensure consistent branding of HR processes compatible with the mission, culture and values of the company.
  • Lead and support complex large projects to support staffing and other strategic initiatives.
  • Craft the workforce management strategy to elevate the retail partner experience through cross-functional collaboration that includes talent planning, staffing, scheduling and evaluating.
  • Work with Operations to assess needs and to design and develop organization structures and talent plans.
  • Develop annual HR budget. Propose appropriate cash compensation practices, incentive plans and measures for the analysis of pay program effectiveness.
  • Provide consultation and support on partner relations issues and applicable company policies and employment laws.
  • Monitor and report on organizational climate trends through turnover, exit-interviews, partner insight survey, monitor organizational performance effectiveness and individual performance and effectiveness trends. Assist on market data research to keep abreast of market intelligence to ensure company competitiveness.
  • Enhance employee relations and communication channels and represents the company in government relation matters. Solicit and listen to partners' concerns and take active role in resolving problems.
  • Plan and execute the partner engagement year plan to engage partners and boost morale.

Summary of Experience

  • 10 years of experience as Human Resources generalist with minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management or related disciplines.
  • Strong leadership skills with hands-on exposure in handling all-rounded HR functions preferably in fast moving industry.
  • Analytical, good team member and energetic.
  • Good interpersonal & influencing skills with passion to connect with people.
  • Numerical sensitive with good organizational skills.
