Library Assistant (Learning and Research Services) in the University Libraries (2 posts) (Ref.: 526354)
We are looking for two Library Assistants to join the University Libraries to provide quality service for Learning and Research Services.
The Role
The appointee will perform the following duties: validate research output records in the Research Information Management System (RIMS); manage researcher profiles in Scopus, Web of Science, and ORCID; create ResearcherPages in Scholars Hub; assist with bibliometric and research impact services; handle enquiries via various channels; provide teaching support in library instructions; create webpages and promotional materials; assist in library events organization; provide support in subject services; assist in tasks on SEN support; and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese), preferably relevant experience in library and information services and/or RIMS, proficiency in citation databases such as Scopus and Web of Science, familiarity with Canva and reference management tools, good communication skills, a customer-oriented mindset, and a strong team spirit. Working in a dynamic team, the appointee should be able to work under tight schedules, eager to learn and ready to take up new challenges.
What We Offer
The appointment will commence on July 2, 2024 until June 30, 2025 on a temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
