We are looking for a Financial Controller!
As a Financial Controller of one of our hotels, we rely on you to:
- Report Assistant Vice President – Finance to oversee the preparation of all financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, reports to Owning company and management company, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies
- Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures set up the Owning company and/or Management Company
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the hotel
- In partnership with Finance Shared Services Centre, maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, payroll, and petty cash
- Oversee the hotel's budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets, and business drivers
- Work with department heads to plan and manage hotel operational budgets and conduct reviews to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the hotel's assets
- Liaise with external auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the hotel
- Analyse cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders
- Analyse financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas
- Any other ad-hoc business assignments as assigned by supervisors
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, CMA, CGA)
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
- Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
- Experience of ERPs like ORACLE, SAP and SUN will be a plus
